ROCKY MOUNT - Funeral services for Tommie Garris, age 82, who died on Saturday, February 19, 2022, will be held on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at 2 p.m. from the Richardson Funeral Home Chapel in Louisburg. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Lou Garris of the home; three daughters, Saundra Guzman and Lavina Fleming, both of Brooklyn, NY, Annette Garris-Greene (Peter) of Cary; five sons, Tommie Garris, Jr. (Lorraine) of Pamona, NY, Kelvin Joyner (Meshika) of Nashville, Donald Garris (Karen) of Halifax, Gene Garris of Brooklyn, NY, Andre Garris of Seattle, WA; one sister, Rose L. Powell of Emporia, VA; seventeen grandchildren and twenty-five, great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be Sunday afternoon from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.
