ROCKY MOUNT - Betty Jane "Bet" Ramsey Wood, age 79, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022. She was born on April 4, 1942 to James Mayo and Annie Todd Ramsey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, J. Curtis Ramsey and Charles M. Ramsey, Sr.; sister, Virginia "Deanie"R. Daniel; nephew, Charles M. "Chuck" Ramsey, Jr. and her husband, CB Wood.

She is survived by her daughter, Jane Todd Wood Braddy and her husband, Chris; 2 grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marjorie G. Ramsey; six nieces and nephews; eleven great-nieces and nephews; four great-great-nieces and nephews; and four special cousins.

A gathering to celebrate her life will be held at the Powerhouse at the Rocky Mount Mills, Rocky Mount on Sunday, February 20, 2022 from 1-3 p.m. and other times at the home of Betty Jane. A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Pineview Cemetery, Rocky Mount.
