Myrtle Irene Baker Tant, 90, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022. She was born April 28, 1931 in Nash County to the late Jessie and Mamie Parker Baker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lemuel Tant.

She is survived by her daughter Kay Tant Rhew (Allan); sisters Eula Southall and Peggy Pendleton; 2 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation with family and friends will be Monday, February 21, 2022 from 1:00-1:45 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
