Dew "Root" Roma Perry, 87, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022. He was born November 12, 1934 in Nash County to the late Weaver and Beaulah Earp Perry. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Lucille Vick.

He is survived by two sons Ricky Perry (Deborah) and Andrew Perry (Becky); two daughters Jeanette Royster and Robbin Robinson (Charles); brother Charles Ray Perry (Debbie); two sisters Marjorie Denton and Mary Alice Perry; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; lifelong friend Juanita Viverette.

A visitation for family and friends will be Friday, January 21, 2022 from 2:00-2:45 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home.
