BURGAW - Kimberly G. Hunter, age 56, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021. Born in Edgecombe County on February 21, 1965, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Sadie Mae Grimes.

Kim is survived by her husband of 21 years, William Hunter; her daughters, Nikki Mears and husband, Chuck, of Tarboro, Liz Norman and husband, Alan, of Tarboro, and Amber Hunter and Alex, of Spring Hope; her son, Doug Hunter of Spring Hope; five grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Burial will follow the service at The Hunter's Family Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 12 - 1 p.m. prior to the service at Johnson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, to honor Kim's memory and kind giving spirit, donations may be made to the State Employee's Credit Union, Account # 62950831. The monies collected will be used by her children and grandchildren to provide holiday cheer for a family in need this holiday season.
