ROCKY MOUNT - Barbara Ann Cahoon Harris, 89, passed away Friday, November 12, 2021. She was born in Nash County on November 17, 1931 to the late Bonnie McCoy Cahoon and Mattie Long Cahoon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Viola Cahoon Taylor. Barbara is survived by her brother, B M "Sparky" Cahoon, Jr. and wife, Cindy.

Barbara was married to Robert M. Harris of Rocky Mount. Together they had four children, Deborah Hartness and husband, Scott, of Rocky Mount, Robert Harris, Jr. and wife, Leila, of Raleigh, Kenneth Harris and wife, Julie, of Chapel Hill, and Retired RMFD Chief Keith Harris and wife, Tricia, of Rocky Mount; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives at the gravesite immediately following the service.
