Evie Dianne Harper Whitley, 80, died Wednesday, November 3, 2021. She was born on June 30, 1941 in Edgecombe County, the daughter of late Alvin Ennis Harper and Iva Mae Blanford Harper. She was preceded in death by her husband, William B. Whitley.

Evie is survived by her sons, Alvin Whitley (Darlene) of Nashville; William "Bill" Whitley, Jr. (Judy); Robert Whitley (Julia); daughter, Charlene W. Wynne (Edward) all of Rocky Mount, two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister, Betsy Jo Bellmore (Gene)of Pinnacle, NC; and cousins.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 1-3 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home & Cremations, Nashville.

A graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
