ROCKY MOUNT- Emma Wilson Yates, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. Born in Rowan County, NC on February 3, 1933, she was the daughter of the late James Carl Wilson and Ruth Allison Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Arnold Lee Yates; her sister, Louise W. Webb; her brothers, William (Jim) K. Wilson, James (J.C.) Carl Wilson, Jr., and Cecil B. Wilson; and step-mother, Eleanor B. Wilson.

Emma is survived by her sons, Anthony (Tony) Yates and wife, Brenda, of Rocky Mount, and Aaron Yates and wife, Beverly, of Willow Spring; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at 3 p.m. at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. A visitation with the family will follow the service at the graveside.
