ROCKY MOUNT - Donald "Don" Edward Strickhouser, Sr., age 94, passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021. Born in Olean, Cattaraugus County, NY on October 29, 1926, he was the son of the late William N. Strickhouser and Margaret Porter Strickhouser. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Keith Strickhouser; his brothers, William Frederick Strickhouser and Richard Porter Strickhouser; and his sisters, Mary Elizabeth Strickhouser Hildreth and Mildred Strickhouser Myers.

Don is survived by his son, Donald Edward "Ed" Strickhouser, Jr. (Rhonda) of Rocky Mount; his daughter, Susan Strickhouser Liverman (Rick) of Midlothian, VA; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 11, 2021 at p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Garden Mausoleum, Wilson. Visitation with the family will be from 12 - 1 p.m. prior to the service at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
