ROCKY MOUNT- Richard Stuart Dickens, 60, passed away Friday, August 11, 2006. He was born March 14, 1946 in Nash County, son of Richard "JR" Randolph and Doris Guy Dickens.

Stuart is survived by his mother, Doris Dickens, a daughter Lorrie Meeks and husband Wil of Pinetops, a son Michael Dickens and wife Gail of Farmville, a sister Debora "Debbie" Dickens of Rocky Mount, a brother Jimmy Dickens of Wake Forest and four grandchildren.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 13, 2006 at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home with Rev. Dexter Taylor officiating.
