NASHVILLE - Henry Allen Jones, 75, went to be with his Lord, Thursday, October 9, 2008. He was born November 6, 1932 in Edgecombe County. Henry was the son of the late, James O. and Mary Elizabeth Jones.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara Leonard Jones, two sons, Keith Jones and wife Vikki of Elm City, Bruce Jones and wife Becky of Nashville, three daughters, Janet Watson and husband Mark of Bailey, Tracey Pearce and husband Randy of Zebulon, Jennifer Cooper and husband Chris of Nashville, two brothers, James “Bud” Jones, Jr. of Elm City, Ray Jones and wife Patsy of Nashville, five sisters, Estelle Robbins of Columbia, NC, Inez Walker of DeRidder, La, Eva Holliday and husband Tom of Bear Grass, NC, Gladys Leonard and husband Charlie of Kinston, Ginger Collie and husband Earl of Kinston, ten grandchildren , three great-grandchildren and many other extended family members.

Visitation was Saturday, October 11, 2008 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A funeral service was held Sunday, October 12, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Woody Jones officiating. Burial followed at Forest Hill Cemetery.
