NASHVILLE - Ida Pearl Braxton Strickland, 82, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021. Ida Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Margaret Braxton; daughter Pat Melvin; brothers Donald and Billy Braxton; sisters-in-law Loretta and Peggy Braxton; and brothers-in-law Larry and Jimmy Dew.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Algia Webster "Pete" Strickland; son, Mike Strickland and wife Mary, son-in-law Mark Melvin and wife Clarice; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Aljah Ray Dew and Sara Dew; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Services were held held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Corinth Baptist Church. Burial followed at Forest Hill Cemetery in Nashville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Corinth Baptist Church 2883 N NC 58 Nashville, NC 27856.
