ROCKY MOUNT - Gordon Vestal III, age 65, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021. Born in Nash County on December 1, 1955, he was the son of the late Gordon Vestal, Jr. and Betty Powell Murchison Vestal. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Rusty Randell.

Gordon is survived by his wife of 37 years, Tricia Agnes McMenamin Vestal of Rocky Mount; his son Zachary Gordon Vestal of Raleigh; his aunt, Jan Vestal of Anderson, SC; his brother-in-law, Bill McMenamin (Sherri); his sister-in law, Ann Speidel (Tim); as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service was held Sunday, May 23, 2021 at First Presbyterian Church of Rocky Mount. Burial, Pineview Cemetery.
