SPRING HOPE - Billy Ray Brantley, 72, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2008 at his home.

A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, October 1 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Spring Hope Funeral Home by Rev. Gerald Wiggs. Interment will follow in Spring Hope Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include, his wife, Lunell Greene Brantley of the home; two daughters, Patricia Morgan and husband, Bruce of Spring Hope; and Reba Taylor and husband, Joe of Spring Hope; two sons, Steve Brantley and special friend, Ken Fillingim of Garner; and David Brantley and wife, Ann of Spring Hope; one sister, Carolyn Steward of Durham; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

The family received friends at Spring Hope Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 6:30 - 8:30 and other times at the home.
