ROCKY MOUNT - Carthoris "Pete" Adcox, age 86, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021. Born in Nash County on March 5, 1934, he was the son of the late Robert Ernest Adcox and Katie Lee Watson Adcox. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Sonja Paris Adcox.

He is survived by his sister Gwen Johnson - his last surviving sibling; his children, Randy Adcox (Silvia), Lisa Tippette (Robbie), and Robert Adcox; four grandchildren;many special cousins, nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held Thursday, March 4, 2020 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at a later date and will be announced by the family at that time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Pete's memory to Englewood Baptist Church, 1350 S. Winstead Ave., Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
