Joe Henry Marks, Jr., 73, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021. He was born July 28, 1947 in Edgecombe County to the late Joe Henry Marks Sr. and Addie Jeffery Marks. In addition to his parents he was preceded by his wife Joanne Katherine Marks; daughter Stephanie Lynn Marks; sister Ann Carter (Raymond) brother Glenn Marks; brother-in-law Ferdie Mangum.

He is survived by his son Joe Henry Marks III; brother David Marks (Faye); sisters Nancy Marks Jones (Ernest), Edith Bone and Dale Cockrell (Johnny), Betty Mangum; two grandchildren.

Visitation with family and friends will be Thursday, February 25, 2021 from 1-1:45 p.m. with funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home. Burial will be at Battleboro Cemetery.
