ROCKY MOUNT - Margaret "Margie" Tanner Proctor, age 92, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021. Born in Edgecombe County on May 11, 1928, she was the daughter of the late George E. Tanner and Willie Betsy Harris Tanner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Proctor, Jr.; a sister; her two brothers; her nephew; her sister-in-law; and her son-in-law.

She is survived by her children, Henry F. Proctor (Bonnie) of Rocky Mount, Rose Parker of Henderson, Larry R. Proctor (Cheryl) of Boone, and Tammy Braswell (Chuck) of Rocky Mount; 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren; four nieces and three nephews; sister-in-law Alice Tanner.

Funeral service was held Sunday, February 21, 2021. Burial, Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
