NASHVILLE - Eleanor Underwood "E.U." Daniel, age 98, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021. Born in Edgecombe County on January 27, 1923, he was the son of the late S. T. Daniel and Cornelia Watson Daniel. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Marjorie Langston Daniel; sisters, little sister Sarah, Fannie "Sister" Norville; and brothers, little brother Francis, S. T. Daniel, Jr., Mack D. Daniel, William "Billy" Daniel, James R. Daniel, and Louis "Dick" Daniel.

He is survived by his children, Dianne Daniel Barnhill (John) of Rocky Mount, Donald U. Daniels (Jean) of Rocky Mount, Sherwood "Wayne" Daniel of Marysville, CA, and Brian "Keith" Daniel (Donna) of Titusville, FL; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his brother, Charles "Charlie" Daniels (Jeannette); nephews; nieces
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel on the Hill Mausoleum. The family will receive friends and relatives immediately following the service in the Chapel.

Entombment will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel on the Hill Mausoleum.
