Betty Batchelor, 79, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021. She was born June 23, 1941 to the late Gertrude Williams Edwards and George Selva Edwards Sr. In addition to her parents, Betty Lou was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Kenneth Edward Batchelor; two brothers, Bill Edwards, and George "JR" Edwards; stepson, Kenneth "Kenny" Batchelor.

She is survived by a daughter, Susan Dawes Dhonau of Charlotte; son, David H. Dawes (Pam) of Rocky Mount; step-daughter, Tammie Batchelor of Sharpsburg; brother, Wayne Edwards (Sandi) of Montgomery, Alabama; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren,; one step-granddaughter; two step-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Gloria Yvonne Edwards of Rocky Mount and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial will be held at Cornerstone Funeral Home, Nashville on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 2 p.m.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in Betty Lou's name to the Lincoln County Coalition Against Domestic Violence, an organization and cause she believed in and that her daughter Susan has supported as a Board Member.
