GURGANUS

ROCKY MOUNT - Willie Eugene Gurganus, age 91, passed away January 2, 2021.

He is predecased by his parents, Herbert and Ethel Faithful Gurganus of Rocky Mount; siblings, Jesse Dell Gurganus Harris, Herbert Earl Gurganus, Marvin Faithful Gurganus, Ethel Gray Gurganus Pitt, Helen Marie Gurganus Mordh, and Jack Linwood Gurganus; and his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth English Gurganus.

He is sruvived by his wife of 8 years, Nancy Ward Gurganus of Rocky Mount; three daughters and their spouses: Lydia Gene Gurganus Greene and Dr. Scott Greene of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania; Martha Hux Gurganus Greene and Roger Greene of Honea Path, South Carolina; and Jody Ruth Gurganus Koop & Don Koop of Lawrenceville, Georgia; 20 grandchildren; 32 great- grandchildren.

A service will be held at Crossroads Baptist Church, Rocky Mount at 2 p.m., Friday, January 8th, 2021. A socially distanced viewing will take place from 12-2 p.m. A private internment will follow in Nashville.

For those who cannot attend, the service will be live- streamed @ 2 p.m. (EST) 1/8/2021.
