Zollie Lee Carpenter, Sr., 77, passed away Friday, December 18, 2020. He was born in Nash County December 4, 1943 to the late Joseph and Alice Sherrod Carpenter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Edward Thomas Carpenter, Danny Ray Carpenter and a sister, Marlene Richardson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Patricia Tyson Carpenter; son, Zollie Lee Carpenter, Jr. (Gloria); sister, Ann Nelms (Clifton); 6 grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.

A graveside service was held Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Oakdale Cemetery.
