ROCKY MOUNT - Mary Jane Faunce Niswonger, age 66, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020. Born in Elkhart County, IN the daughter of the late John Franklin Faunce and Marthetta Brown Faunce. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Dianna Marie.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Michael Niswonger; her sons, Jerry Allen Niswonger and wife, Betty, of Garner, Joseph Milton Niswonger and wife, Crystal, of Rolesville, Paul Kenneth Niswonger and wife, Lisa, of Clayton; her daughter, Michelle Lynn Patterson and husband, Jeffery, of Elm City; her brothers, John Arthur Faunce and wife, Paddi, and Michael Eugene Faunce; her 12 grandchildren; and her seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Southside Baptist Church, Elm City. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. A visitation will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service in the Sanctuary of Southside Baptist Church.
