ROCKY MOUNT - Ronald "Ronnie" Joyner, age 72, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020. Born in Nash County he was the son of the late William Mose Joyner and Fannie Pearl Pittman Joyner. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Milton Timothy Joyner.

Ronnie is survived by his wife of 44 years, Rebecca "Becky" Burgess Joyner; his daughter, Patricia McGowan House and husband, Fletcher, of Lagrange; his sons, Patrick Wade Joyner and wife, April of Nashville and William Alan Joyner and wife, Stephanie of Rocky Mount; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Carolyn Leonard of Nashville, Emma Joyner of Nashville, and Hilda Viverette of Rocky Mount; his brothers, William Ray Joyner of Rocky Mount, Enoch Lewis Joyner of Nashville, and David Carl Joyner of Pinetops; many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Mill Branch Cemetery. A visitation with the family will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2020 from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home prior to the graveside service.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made in Ronnie's memory to the American Cancer Society.
