ROCKY MOUNT - Joyce Davis "Matthews" Page, 73, passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2020. Born in Beaufort County she was the daughter of the late David Bernard Davis and Fannie Esley McKinney Davis. She was also preceded in death by her brother David Davis, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Angela Matthews Griffin of Rocky Mount and her son, William "Billy" Matthews of Wilmington; three grandchildren; sisters, Patsy Davis Harris of Pinetown and Sandra Davis Belch and her husband, Doug, of Edenton; her brother, Lloyd Davis and his wife, Faye, of Pinetown; her sister-in-law Sue Davis also of Pinetown; many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Joyce's memory to either the Nashville Baptist Church, 512 E. Washington Street, Nashville, NC 27856, or to the American Red Cross, Rocky Mount Chapter, 326 S. Franklin Street, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
