Linwood Ray Hatchel, Sr., 59, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2020. He was born July 8, 1961 in Edgecombe County. He was preceded in death by his father David Hatchel, Sr.

Survivors include his mother Ethel Metters and step-father Charles; his wife of 18 years Pinnie Hatchel; three sons Linwood Hatchel Jr. (Sara), Jonathan (Jennifer, and Christopher Hatchel (fiancé Crystal); daughter Angel Hatchel (fiancé Zack); step-daughters Jessica Brazerol, and Tiffany Hunt (Paul); brothers David Lee Hatchel, Jr. (Patsy), Mark Hatchel (Phyllis), and Chuck Metters (Sarah); sister Marisela Metters; 16 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2020 1 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. C.J. Cauble officiating.
