Billy Ray Smith, Sr., 74, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2020. He was born December 23, 1945 in Nash County to the late Clyde and Effie Smith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by six sisters, two brothers, and granddaughter Niki Breanna Shearin.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years Delilah Joyner Smith; son Billy Ray Smith Jr. and companion Jeany Hatfield; daughter Melissa J. Shearin and son-in-law Eddie Shearin whom he considered his son; brother Julian Smith (Doris); one grandchild.

Visitation with family and friends will be Monday, November 16, 2020 from 12:30-1:45pm with funeral service to be held at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Mills officiating. Burial will follow at Wells Family Cemetery, Nashville.
