Mary Harriet Matthews Coppedge, 89, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020. She was born in Nash County July 28, 1931 to the late Luther and Alcie Manning Matthews. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Clavis Coppedge; brothers John and Sam Matthews. She loved her family, sewing, flowers and making crafts.

She is survived by daughter, Jeanette Glasgow (Steve); grandchild, Wendy McComas; great grandchildren Jordan and Jacob Lane; brother, Luther Matthews, Jr. (Judy), sisters Susie Mae Sanders, JoAnn Johnson and a sister in law, Ann Matthews.

The family will receive friends Monday, November 9, 2020 from 6-8:00 PM at Cornerstone Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Heyward Watford. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Nashville.
