Julia Ellen Jones Purinai ROCKY MOUNT - Julia Ellen Jones Purinai, age 91, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. Born in Nash County on November 4, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Sidney Thomas Jones and Margaret Ellen Coley Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Nicholas Purinai; and infant daughter, Lynn Ellen Purinai.

She is survived by three sons, Tom Purinai and wife, Deenie, David Purinai and wife, Susan, and Kevin Purinai and partner, Clarke Latimer; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her sisters, Ann Jones Vause and Sue Jones Collins; and several nieces and nephews.

A private family funeral service will be held at Dortches Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Barton officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
