EAST ORANGE, NJ - Herbert Cyrus, Jr., 73, formerly of Hollister, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2008. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 2 p.m. from Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, with Rev. Thomas Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Survivors include a spouse, Debbie Cyrus of the home; a daughter, Virginia Alice Cyrus of Oranje, NJ; a son, Wayne Darrell Gordon, of Orange, NJ; a step-son, Erskine Tucker, of Philadelphia, PA; four sisters, Dorothy Davis, of Bethelehem, PA, Elouise Moore, of Plainfield, NJ, Geraldine Richardson, of Louisburg, NC and Mary Elliott of East Orange, NJ; two brothers, Chester Lee Cyrus, of Miami, FL and Douglas Cyrus, of Hampton, VA; and nine grandchidlren.

Open visitation will be held at the Richardson Funeral Home Chapel in Louisburg on Friday, September 12, 2008 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
