ROCKY MOUNT - Dorothy Louise Matthews Langley, age 82, passed away on October 15, 2020. Born in Cumberland County on July 21, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Norman Dalton Matthews and Frances Widdifield Matthews. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Norman Douglas Matthews and Charles Thomas Matthews; and her friend, Lois Webb.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Otha Gene Langley; her son, Randall Keith Langley and wife, Denise, of Battleboro; her daughter, Barbara Langley Dickens and husband, Steve, of Red Oak; five grandchildren; her sisters-in-law, Barbara Langley of Smithfield, VA and Judy Bass of Rocky Mount; many nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at 3:30 p.m. at Mill Branch Cemetery with Pastor Chris Fowler officiating. The family will receive friends at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home from 1 - 2:30 p.m. before the Graveside Service.
