ROCKY MOUNT - George Dewey Gillian, age 73, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2020. Born in Mecklenburg County on July 30, 1947, he was the son of the late Samuel Lee Gillian and Maude Friday Gillian.

George is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda Hoell Gillian of Rocky Mount; daughters, Audrey Gillian Lewis and her husband, Matthew of Lexington and Lesley Gillian of Raleigh; son, Jonathan Gillian and his wife Tricia of Indian Trail; five grandchildren; several nephews and nieces.

Services will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at2 p.m. at Christ Covenant Church, 3124 Belmont Lake Drive, Rocky Mount with Tim Griffin officiating. A visitation with the family will immediately follow the service in the Narthex of the church until 4 p.m..
