ROCKY MOUNT - Barbara Breedlove Rackley, age 78, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020. Born in Nash County on May 3, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Breedlove and Bertha Wordsworth Breedlove. She was also predeceased in death by her sisters, Bertha Royal and Christine Wilder.

She is is survived by her husband of 60 years, John "Johnny" L. Rackley of Rocky Mount; sister, Lola Breedlove Harper and her husband, W. Tim of Red Oak; brother-in-law, William Rackley and his wife, Shelby of Rocky Mount, sister-in-law, Elaine R. Matthews of Nashville, and six nieces and two nephews.

Services will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Chris Fowler officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
