Mildred Evans Matthews, 91, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2020.

She was born in Nash County December 27, 1928 to the late Thomas William and Verla Gardner Evans. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, George Matthews; brothers Thomas H. Evans, Virgil L. Evans; sister, Ava Gray Evans and a son in law, Steve Webb.

She is survived by daughter, Natalie Matthews Webb and fiancé, Brian; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister, Phyllis Edwards and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m.. Sunday, September 6, 2020 at Forest Hill Cemetery with Rev. Evan Bass and Rev. Chris Sorenson officiating.
