ROCKY MOUNT - Joyce Barnes Cobb, age 87, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2020. Born in Edgecombe Count on June 8, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Louis Dunbar Barnes and Elizabeth Fountain Barnes. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert William Cobb; and her brothers, Douglas Barnes and Garland Barnes; and one great-grandchild.

She is survived by her children, Richard "Ricky" Alan Cobb and wife, Ginny, of Rocky Mount, John "Scott" Cobb and wife, Jean, of Wake Forest, Vicky Suzanne Cobb of Nashville, and Travis Dunbar Cobb and wife, Laura, of Nashville; nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 3 p.m. at Pineview Cemetery with Rev. Bill Grisham officiating. A visitation with the family will follow the service at the graveside.
