ROCKY MOUNT - Florene Land Weaver, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2020. Born in Nash County, NC on June 1, 1928, she was the daughter of the late John Daniel "Dan" Land and Bettie Eason Land. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William David Weaver; sister, Dorothy Weaver "Tiny" Rowe; and her brother, George Howard "Dump" Land.

She is survived by her daughter, Joan Weaver Pate and husband, Bob, of Nashville; son, Danny Lee Weaver and wife, Debbie, of Rocky Mount; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sisters, Vivian Land McIntyre, Myrt Land New, and Duke Land Williams; brothers, Wainwright and Sammy Land; brothers-in-law, Rev. Paul Weaver and Johnnie Elbert Weaver; and many nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with Rev. Paul Weaver and Rev. Carlton Cockrell officiating. Visitation with the family will follow the services at the cemetery.
