ROCKY MOUNT - Jane Gay White, age 94, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020. Born in Nash County on July 13, 1926, she was the only child of the late James G. Gay and Nell Conner Gay. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William H. White, Jr.

She is survived by daughters Gay Whitney and husband, David, of New Bern, and Susan Carroll and husband, Allen, of Autryville; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

A private family service will be held at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel of Memories Mausoleum. Entombment will follow the service.
