ROCKY MOUNT - Christine J. Morris, age 81, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2020. Born in Nash County on September 28, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Dawes Joyner and Della Mae Lindsey Joyner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dallas G. Morris, Sr.; her grandchildren, Brian S. Morris and Dallas E. Morris; and her eight siblings.

She is survived by her sons, Dallas G. Morris, Jr. and wife, Carolyn, of Winston-Salem, Tony M. Morris and wife, Lynn, of Rocky Mount, and Mike A. Morris and Christina O'Donnell, of Rocky Mount; her daughter, Tina M. Hutsell and husband, Greg, of Atlantic Beach, FL; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her brother, Milton Joyner; her sisters, Effie Cooley and Lois Taylor.

Services were held Sunday, July 12, 2020 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel on the Hill Mausoleum with Rev. Mike Edmondson officiating. Entombment followed the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel on the Hill Mausoleum.
