RALEIGH - Marshall Ray Wilson, age 77 "Uncle Joe Ray," son of the late Marshall and Gladys Wilson was born April 18, 1943 in Halifax County. He passed away on June 26, 2020 at the home of his daughter surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his fiancé Glenda Daniel of Raleigh; his daughters Vonda Wilson Medina (Zeke) of Raleigh and Kimeka Wilson Savage (Donald) of Nashville; two grandchildren; sister, Irene Richardson (Johnnie) of Hollister; and two brothers, Haywood Wilson (Deloise deceased) of Hollister, and Manson Wilson (Colmorene) of Warrenton. Two brothers preceded him in death, Fletcher Wilson (Doretha) and Mitchell Wilson.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, July 3, 2020 from 5 - 7 p.m. at Longview Life Faith Center, 2227 Milburnie Rd., Raleigh, NC 27610.

A public viewing will also be held on Saturday, July 4, 2020 from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg. A private funeral service, by invitation only, will follow with Rev. James Hunt officiating. A public burial will follow in the Essex Community Church Cemetery in Hollister.
