ROCKY MOUNT - Gail Brown Williams, age 71, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2020. Born in Edgecombe County on September 30, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Brown and Dehurse Ramsey Brown. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary "Sissy" Brown Tharrington and her husband, Roy, Jr.; her in-laws, JT and Inez Williams.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Joe Williams, of Rocky Mount; son, Ashley Williams and his wife, Tammy; two grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Pineview Cemetery with Pastor John Scott officiating. A visitation with the family will follow the service at the graveside.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Gail's memory to Parkwood Baptist Church, 1731 Hunter Hill Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
