Mary Kate Hines Fields, 88, passed away Wednesday, June 3rd. She was born August 23, 1931 in Spartanburg County, SC to the late Payton Jerome Hines, Sr. and Bernice Louisa Lynch Hines. She was preceded in death by her son Stanley Welton Porter and husband Robert Carlton Fields, Sr. ; also her siblings Mildred Golightly, Doris Rogers, Sarah Henderson, Payton Hines Jr, Joe Hines and Paul Hines.

She is survived by her daughters, Christine 'Tena' Shearin (Phil) and Miriam Brown (Stan); five granddaughters; 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday, June 5th at 6:30 pm at Cornerstone Funeral Home in Nashville with Rev. Stan Brown and Stephanie Geanes officiating with visitation to follow. Burial will be Saturday, June 6th at 3 p.m. at White Level Baptist Church, Louisburg, NC.
