ROCKY MOUNT - Fenton Lee Bailey, Sr., age 85, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2020. Born in Wakefield, VA on October 12, 1934, he was the son of the late Kenneth Edward Bailey, Jr. and Mary Estelle Joyner Bailey. He was also preceded in death by his infant son, Fenton Lee Bailey, Jr.; step-daughter, Terry White Rose; brothers, Peter Bailey, Stanley Bailey; and sister, Bernice Puryear.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Rose E. Bailey; daughters, June Bailey Stewart and husband, Dick, Terri Bailey Bakes, and Sharon Bailey Beale and husband, Clayton; step-daughters, Donna "Dominique" Alsfer and Christy White; step-sons, Dr. Richard Kent White, and C. Thomas White and wife, Aurora; four grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; sister, Eunice Epps.

A memorial service will be announced and held at a later date.
