Elton Ray Ricks passed away Friday, April 10, 2020. He was born August 16, 1955 to the late Ida Ruth Ricks of Nash County. He was the fourth youngest child in this family of nine sibling with two that processed him in death.

Ray was married to Evelyn D. Williams, May 2, 1987 and to this union one child was born.

He is survivied by his daughters, Atia Edmond of Scotland Neck, Sherri Williams of Fayetteville and Teanna Moody of Swift Creek; five brothers, Aaron Ricks Jr. (deceased), Grover Ricks, Jr. (Mozelle) of Nashville, William Ricks of Wilson, Leotha Ricks of Nashville and Roger Ricks of Rocky Mount; four sisters, Mrs. Louise Green (Raymond) of Baltimore, MD, Barbara Stample (deceased), Joyce Ricks of Nashville, Linda Ricks of Spring Hope; five grandchildren.

Private graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Spring Hope Memorial Gardens. Those who would like to join the family in the Celebration of life are invited to join them through live stream at William Toney's Facebook page at 2 p.m.
