ROCKY MOUNT - Mavis Boykin Cobb, age 94, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2020. Born in Wilson County, on October 16, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Fred Woodard Boykin and Daisy Davis Boykin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alton Earl Cobb; son, Michael "Mike" Woodard Cobb; and sister, Myrtle Boykin Lamm.

She is survived by her son, Ronald Earl Cobb and wife, Rhonda, of Rocky Mount; and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Cobb of Rocky Mount; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Sally Doris Raper of Rocky Mount and Sandra Wilson of Raleigh; and several nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Elm City.
