ROCKY MOUNT - David Weeks Daughtridge, age 67, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2020. Born in Edgecombe County on October 16, 1952, he was the son of the late Paul Cornelius Daughtridge and Mary Louise Whitley. He was also preceded in death by his infant son, David Weeks Daughtridge, Jr.; father-in-law, Al Smith; mother-in-law, Tula Smith; and nephew, Nicholas Smith.

He is survivied by his wife of 48 years, Debbie Smith Daughtridge; son, Billy Daughtridge and wife, Katrina; daughter, Ashley Daughtridge Cox and husband, Jerry; four grandchildren; brothers, Joe Daughtridge and wife Joni, Steve Daughtridge and wife, Allison; sister, Mary Daughtridge Edwards and husband, Matt; brothers-in-law, Rick Smith and wife, Gina, David Smith and wife Kristine, Robert Smith and wife Melanie; three nieces; one nephew,; and many cousins.

A visitation will be on Monday, March 30, 2020 from 3 - 8 p.m. at the family's home.

A private family funeral service will be held at a later date at First Free Will Baptist Church Rocky Mount with Rev. Jason Sexton and Dr. Jacky Raper officiating.
