Rocky Mount - Virginia Nell Johnson Yorman, 87, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2008. She was born February 17, 1921 in Wilson County. She was the daughter of the late William and Minnie Williams. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Warren F. Yorman.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Doris Guthrie and husband Henry of Norfolk, VA, Olivia Flaherty and partner Suzanne Calhoon of the home; one son, Ernest Cobb and wife Janice of Chesapeake, VA; one sister, Edith Watts of Tarboro; five grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews; and one adopted son, Jack Earnest.

The family received friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, August 11, 2008 at Johnson Funerals and Cremations on English Road. A graveside service was held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at Johnson Family Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Johnson Funeral and Cremations, 661 English Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
