Rocky Mount - Madeline P. Jones, 75, passed away on August 8, 2008. She was a native of Edgecombe County. Preceding her in death are her husband Bill Jones; her Father, Ernest Proctor; her Mother, Penny Proctor.

She is survived by her children, Mike and Kim Jones, Marshall and Fay Hendricks, Ray and Darlene Jones all of Rocky Mount; four grandchildren, Brandon Michael Jones, Laura Beth Hendricks, Christopher Jones and Briana Jones all of Rocky Mount; two brothers, David Lee Proctor and his wife Elsie of Rocky Mount, Sammy Proctor and his wife Bertha of Spring Hope; three sisters, Elizabeth Storey of Florida, Jean and her husband Don Williams, and Doris Proctor Wells both from Rocky Mount.

The family receives friends from 5 to 7 Sunday, August 10, 2008 at Johnson Funerals and Cremations on English Road and other times at the home 185 Myers Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27801. A funeral service was held 11 am Monday, August 11, 2008 at Gospel Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Peoples Baptist Church Cemetery in Elm City.
