ROCKY MOUNT - Gordie Justice "Jay" Daughtridge, Jr. age 74, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2020. He was born on April 22, 1945 in Rocky Mount to Gordie Justice Daughtridge, Sr. and Vilona Brooks Harrison Daughtridge. Also, preceding him in death are two sons, Christopher Glenn Daughtridge and Jonathan Randall Daughtridge.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Vicki Leonard Daughtridge of Rocky Mount; daughter, Amanda Moon (Jimmy) of Nashville; sons, Danny Daughtridge (Elizabeth) of Rocky Mount, Joey Daughtridge of Wilmington; two grandchildren; and many cousins.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Parkwood Baptist Church, 1731 Hunter Hill Road, Rocky Mount with Pastor John Scott officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. prior to the service in the Parkwood Baptist Church Sanctuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jay's memory to Parkwood Baptist Church, 1731 Hunter Hill Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
