Faye Turner Wheeler



Faye Turner Wheeler, age 72, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2019. She was born August 10, 1947 in Nash County. She was preceded in death by her parents William E. and Mary B. Turner; brother Edwin Turner, sisters Thelma Sykes, Sophia Matthews, Barbara Renfrow and son-in-law Tom Mulholand.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, O'Neal Wheeler; children, Kenneth O. Wheeler, Jr. (Brook) of Stringer, MS, Stacie Mulholand of Spring Hope, Stanley Wheeler (Vickie) and Steven Wheeler (Julia) of Nashville; grandchildren, Tabatha (Derrick) Vick, Jay (Lauren) Mulholand, Melanie Wheeler, Sonnie Wheeler, Laken Wheeler, Chet Wheeler and Lola Beth Wheeler; great-grandchildren, Paxton, Meadow and Thatcher Vick. Faye is also survived by her brother Wesley (Carolyn) Turner and sister Lois (Warren) Boone as well as many nieces and nephews.

Faye worked many years at the Nash County Health Department where she was a part of a close-knit group of ladies. She loved her friends and was loved by them.

Faye was one to always help someone if she could and decided she would donate her body to science at UNC Chapel Hill in hopes that maybe a cure for Parkinson's could be found or in some way help another person.
