NASHVILLE - Ruby Bissette Joyner, age 83, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019. Born in Nash County on December 25, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Bissette. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Joyner; daughter, Janice Kay Joyner and three brothers, Bobby, A.J, and J.B. Bissette.

She is survived by her daughters, Sonja Williams and husband, Terry and Shelia Powell and husband, Brandon; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Estelle Webb and brothers, Bo, Jack and Frank Bissette.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon with the funeral service following at 12 noon in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
