ROCKY MOUNT - Grady Earl Proctor, age 86, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019. Born in Nash County on December 1, 1932, he was the son of the late Isaac Daniel Proctor and Maggie Boykin Proctor. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 17 years, Peggy Medford Proctor; brother, Millard Proctor; and sisters, Margie Proctor Leonard and Lorraine Proctor Creekmore.

Survivors include his step-daughter, Vicky Baker Batchelor and husband, Jerry, of Nashville.

Services will be held on Monday, November 4, 2019 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor George Moore officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 1 - 1:45 p.m. prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to one's charity of choice.
